Rakta or red-hued Ganapati in Hindu tradition is associated with several forms of the elephant-faced deity, such as the “Kshipra-prasad” or Ganesha who gives quick fruits, “Ekakshara” or Ganesha who is worshipped by a single syllable (Gam) and “Vijaya” or Ganesha of victory. This wooden statue of Ganesha presents him in an auspicious red-colored form, sitting on a bloomed lotus throne, in the regal Maharajalilasana pose.
The plump god is beautifully adorned with ornaments and wears a green dhoti. Carved in a rounded manner, this Ganapati statue is a fortunate and sacred representation of the Lord.
