HAND BOOK OF VASTU (REVISED & ENLARGED)

It is with pleasure that I am writing the following words by way of a foreword to my son B. Niranjan Baby's work Handbook of Vastu.

In Sanskrit Vastu ordinarily means a dwelling house. It also denotes the lot of land over which a dwelling house is built. Silpa Sastras and astrological woks deal with this subject exhaustively.

Niranjan Baby has made a careful study of most of the extant classical literature and appears to have a firm grip on the subject.

It is necessary that houses, factories, hotels, etc. be constructed according to Vastu so that destructive vibrations emanating from Nature due to the materials used are screened off.

The book takes the reader in a graduated form through the essentials of Vastu and its practical application. Several diagrams are given to enable one to put to practical use, the principles of Vastu.

The author has already made his mark in the field of Vastu and bids to hold his own in the future. I am lad to say that this work has been done with considerable skill and ability.

Today, the market is being flooded with several books on the Subject; but the present one fulfils a long-felt want for its clarity and style of presentation. I bid my son God-speed in his efforts to propagate and promote Vastu for the good of all those who are interested in it.

About the Author

B. Niranjan Babu, a Vedic scholar from India has degrees in both science and commerce and postgraduate education in journalism. He has been actively associated with THE ASTROLOGICAL MAGAZINE for over twenty-five years. As a senior and distinguished contributor, his articles covering Vastu Shastra and related areas appear regularly in the columns of THE ASTROLOGICAL MAGAZINE.

Niranjan Babu was the principal speaker on Vastu at the 5th and 6th international symposiums on Vedic astrology held in October 1997 and November 1998 at San Diego and Sedona, USA respectively. He has addressed various Organisations in Chicago, Dallas, Peoria, Los Angeles, San Francisco and other places in USA.

The First all India Symposium on Vastu was conducted in Bangalore, India in 1995 by the Raman and Rajeswari Research Foundation under the chairmanship of Dr. B. V. Raman and active involvement of Niranjan Babu.

Niranjan Babu was the principal coordinator and conductor of the first major workshop on Vastu Shastra held at Bangalore, India in March 1998, which was organised by Raman and Rajeswari Research foundation, Bangalore.

Niranjan Baby is a well known international consultant in Vastu. Many well-known individuals, businesses and industries have utilised his services as a Vastu specialist. He is a member (as a Vastu consultant) of Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheswara Dharmottana Trust, Dharmasthala, India.
