The epic describes the story of Aaryavarta or India's entire history. It has been inspiring the life of the people of our county by the depiction of the ideal male and female characters in it. in it we find the description of hundreds of places, incidents and the depiction of the oddest twists and ironies of life.

Although the number of people who know a little about the Mahabharata runs into lakhs, yet a lot about it remains to be known. To read, understand and absorb a vast epic like Mahabharata is tedious and time consuming. Thus the need for a book, which in a short span of time can impart all the important and main information about it to us. From this viewpoint this book is an ocean in a small earthen vessel. Mahabharata is like an ocean, the deeper you go the more you uncover. It is an immeasurable treasure trove of knowledge. To gather all of it at one place is impossible. All the more when we are restricted to just a 1, 000 questions.

The aim of the present book is to impart to the reader the knowledge to be found in the Mahabharata. At the end of the book three annexures have been attached Annexure-1 shows the family tree of the Kauravas and Pandavas. Annexure-2 gives a list of the hundred sons of Dhritrashtra. Annexure-3 gives the composition of one Akshauhinee Sena.
