It is assumed that the reader know how to calculate a horoscope, and that he understands the usual symbols of planets, signs, and aspects, as well as the elementary rules relating to the interpretation of a map of the heavens. None of these are, therefore, repeated here; and those who are unacquainted with them are referred to the previous Manuals in this series, especially to The Horoscope in Detail.
The Rules here given are expressed chiefly in terms of the political and national life of Great Britain; but, with the necessary changes in phraseology, they are applicable to any country.
