Aarati

One should perform Aarati after completing the worship. If there is anything that has been missed unknowingly during worship, there is a provision to recoup it through Aarati.

One should perform Aarati with kunkum, aloe wood, camphor, ghee and sandalwood. One should make wicks of cotton and ghree inn five lamps and right bell and blow conch shell at the time of Aarati.

At the time of Aarati, one should move the lighted lamps circularly round the feet of the image of the god / goddess, and then one should move the lamps two times circularly around the navel, two times around the face and seven times around the entire body of the image of the god. This is part of worship. This makes the gods and goddesses happy.
