About the Book
An
ode to the Orient ...
Vedas, Samhitas and Nighantus have long served as the sources of information of
medicinal plants of ancient India. Interestingly there are lesser known sources
like sculptures, inscriptions and travelogues which provide a different
perspective to the understanding of medicinal plants. The silent stones and
soliloquies do speak volumes!
