About the author

Sushma singhvi has been working in the field of social work for the past twenty years. She is the founder member of Gunjan foundation which was started with the sole aim of working towards the betterment of the community by educating the underprivileged and uneducated. The projects undertaken by Gunjan are all directed towards greater social awareness and prosperity.

She has been awarded the Saraswat Sammaan ‘ manav Mamta Mani’ from Eta UP.

Jyoti Bhansali has been in the teaching profession for more than twenty years and has master degrees in English and Education. She has been trained in English grammar at Boston, USA. Apart from being passionate about her subject she also has keen interest in science which has lead to her co-authoring a book on Science experiment named ‘Fun and Science at Home’ with the sole aim of Trying to make the subject popular among the children of today. Besides that she has also co-authored a five-part series of general knowledge books titled ‘Knowledge ahead’ for students of classes I to V published by Orient Longman.

She has the unique distinction of being the only teacher from India to accompany a two-member school team to represent India at the Millennium function (January 2000) held a New Zealand in which teachers and students from over 150 countries participated.
