Sacrifice is selfless giving, the way to freedom from the bondage of karma. All nature must give forth or die. The Eternal Principle gives of itself in manifestation this is the great Cosmic Sacrifice, which C. Jinarajadasa explains with quotations from ancient texts and living examples. C.W. Leadbeater points out that sacrifice is love in the fullest and deepest sense of the word. By giving ourselves in loving service, in unselfish devotion and renunciation for the good of others, we can transmute ourselves. Love is the way and immortality.
About the Authors
C.W. Leadbeater a highly developed clairvoyant wrote over 30 books on the spiritual life and psychic nature of man. His writings unveiled the hidden side of things, and his lectures worldwide presented a new viewpoint to thousand of people. It was he who discovered J. Krishnamurti and educated him with a view to his future work.
C. Jinarajadasa President of the Theosophical Society from 1945 to 1953, received his Master's degree in Sanskrit and philology from Cambridge University. A Sri Lankan by birth he was however, exceptionally fluent in many Indian and European languages; and his wide range of interests and writings included religion, philosophy, literature, art, science and Occult Chemistry.
