About the Book The Dasa System dealt in this book is not found in any of the standard classical texts of astrology and the author learnt the same from one of his Tantric Guru he met during the course of his own Sadhana. The author has also brought out few other Dasa systems learnt from great Astro-Tantrics viz. Tara Dasa, Gangadhara Dasa etc. The calculation of this Dasa is based on Ashtaka Varga and the readers would appreciate how beautifully the benefic dots obtained in Sarvastaka Varga are converted into a Rashiyadi Dasa. First time in this book the readers would find the procedure for correct computation of Chara Karakas and the lovers of Jaimini astrology would certainly enjoy the detailed discussion on the same. Preface Numerous types of Dasa systems are there in Vaidik astrology and each of these are meant for timing the events effectively. Many Dasa systems are found in the standard classical texts but there are also large number of Dasa systems practised secretly by the astro-scholars of Tantric cult residing in far flung corners of India and Nepal. The scribe has learnt over a dozen types of such Dasa systems from different Tantric pundits of India and Nepal. These Dasa systems are not found in any of the available texts of astrology. The scholars especially of secret Tantric cult seldom share informations with uninitiates and unworthy. And in this respect the author was fortunate that he could meet different Tantric pundits in different parts of this country at differ- ent interval of times and these Tantric teachers (Guru) found him worth teaching such rare Dasa systems. At a time when Vimshottari Dasa system was being used by majority of astrologers these Dasa systems remained closeted in the deeper chambers of heart of these Tantra sadhakas. Even today Rashiyadi (sign type) Dasa systems are scarcely used by the astrologers in general.
