Preface
Mystical Formulae is another synonym for Mantras in the literary sense. The reason why I have selected Mystical Formulae in place of Mantras is that the Mantra actually means The Technique of Verses whereas Mysticism contains both Mantras and various articles used in the attainment of Mantra Siddhi.
Mantras contained in this book are the are rare ones and most powerful. Usually there is a psychological thendecy to adopt a Mantra which has more explanations. Readers are requested not to choose a particular Mantra because it has more explanations. Brevity has been kept for the sake of saving the time of the reader. Unnecessary explanation is not the moto of this book. Hence it is once again re-iterated that the Mantra may be selected as per the requirement of the reader and time available to them. All the Mantras have equal intensity.
From the time immemorial to the mankind, they have been practicing various Mystical, Tantrical and Matrical methods to achieve or fulfil their desires. Desire vary from man to man. One is in need of wealth, another is in need of health and still another is in need of worldly comforts including animatic sexual desires.
Man is its original form has no super natural power. Since the man is entirely a different form of creatre with excellent intelligence and memory, God has been kind enough to impart him, some of HIS super natural powers. But while doing so the technique of receiveness has been made so complicated and intrinsic that a normal or ordinary fellow cannot adopt the technique.
Any Sadhana (Spiritual Practice) requires constant and continuous search and practice. In olden days, these techniques were kept limited to separate sect of human race called Rishis. These Rishis used to spent years together in search of hidden truth of Mysticism within self. Some could achieve the goal by meditating and some took refuge in Mantras, Tantras and in the rare natural articles. The person who secured ultimate knowledge of such Mysticism through meditation and penance were called Rishis or Sanyasis. On the other hand the person who acquired the super natural power through Mantras accompanied with worship of his family deity were called Mantravaadi. Persons who acquired this power through Tantras were called Tantrist.
Desires have no limit. We are all force to take recourse to various short cut method for the accomplishment of desires. Meditation, Mantras and Tantras being few methods among them. If we look at the real purpose of meditation, there is no room for worldly desires. We cannot say that there is no room for desire in meditation because the performance of meditation is the outcome from desire for Moksha. But it is pity that the purpose of modern Sadhaka of meditation seems to be the attainment of wealth and worldly comforts. There is no doubt that the real path of meditation takes us to wealth and comfort initially and Moksha (Salvation) being the final stage. It is imperative in the modern world that empty stomach may not permit the mind to the Salvation stage until we reach the doorstep of meditation. So wealth is also needed for the mind to be in readiness for meditation. This may be HIS subjects seeking Moksha should be given the taste of wealth and comforts initially. Here I may add that a person who had initially not much to eat, will, when given sumptuous food, fill his belly with maximum quantity of food at the initial stages. Lateron, his capacity to eat diminishes slowly and reach the stage from where he had started initially. Like this, when one meditates with sincerity and by observing the correct technique as imparted by our ancients, his surroundings become favourable, wealth flows in, he enjoys the worldly comforts, then the real stage of Salvation comes.
While Meditation is the art of concentration of mind, Mantra is the art of sound vibrations. Manasika (uttering through mind without moving the lips) has been considered to be the best recitation technique. However, I do not agree with this view. Since the Mantra is the art of sound vibrations, recitation should be done loudly. Readers will feel the difference when done on boty the ways. When we utter the sounds loudly, our entire body starts vibrating and the more beneficial effect is that our attention is not diverted and we are completely engulfed in the Mantras.
