Nandalal Bose: The Doyen of Indian Art
Nandalal Bose: The Doyen of Indian Art
Description
About the Book:

Written in lucid and simple style this biography of Nandalal Bose is a vivid insight into the personality of one of the intensely creative masters of our times. It brings together, perhaps for the first time, many facets of Nandalal Bose-The great artist between two covers. To the layman and the artist the book is sure to serve as an introduction to the art-heritage of the early part of our twentieth century in which Nandalal holds an important place.

About the Author:

Dinkar Kowshik (b. 1918) an artist, teacher and art critic, had his early education in Pune. Later he went to Santiniketan and studied art under Nandalal Bose. Kowshik taught art in Delhi at the College of Art and Crafts and in Santiniketan at Kala Bhavan as its principal. The direct contact with the master has helped him to appreciate the rich creativity and many-sided genius of his master.
