Despite the very rapid growth of urban centres, especially in the plains, after the political changes, villages will conceivably continue to play a dominant role in Nepal for a long time to come. Folklore, the spice of life rural society, is very much in evidence here as in other countries, be it in everyday conversation or in speeches, newspapers and other media of communications.
