In India sweet have their own importance in the normal meal. Always festival and parties are celebrated with sweets. Since sweets indicate happiness and jubilation. People of different religion prepare special sweets as offerings for their Gods.

Success of any sweet lies in accurate measurement of ingredients, consistency of sugar/jiggery syrup, cooking time proper vessel etc. The secret of tasty sweets lies not in the liberal use of ghees and sugar but how and when to use it.

This book gives recipes of most of the common traditional sweet of India. All the recipes are tried and tested several time, given in easy steps, so that everybody can follow it. In many places beginner’s tips and notes are given which are really important for making sweets.
