Ashwini Bhide Deshpande

Born into a family with strong musical traditions, Ashwini Bhide Deshpande started her early classical training under the guidance of Pandit Narayanrao Datar. She then completed her 'Sangeet Visharad' from the Gandharva Mahavidhyalaya. Since then she has been under the tutelage of her mother Smt. Manik Bhide, who has been instilling in her the intricacies and traditions of the Jaipur- Atrauli Gharana. Currently, Ashwini Bhide Despande is also receiving guidance from one of the stalwarts of the Jaipur-Atrauli Gharana, Shri Ratnakar Pai Fans of Ashwini Bhide Despande may note that she has a Masters degree in Microbiology and a doctorate in Bio- Chemistry from the University of Bombay!
