Haven or Havanam refers to a sacred ritual in Hinduism, wherein a fire ceremony is performed. It is an essential part of all Pujas and is conducted in obeisance to Agni, the God of fire. A Havan is performed to purify the vibrations in any surrounding. After lighting a fire, ghee (clarified butter) along with fruits, incense, rice etc are put on the flames, and prayers from the Vedas are recited. A Havan is believed to eliminate negativity, thus resulting in health, happiness, luck and prosperity. This album comprises a recitation of all the mantras that are needed to perform a sampoorna (complete) havan.

Havan ki Samagri
The following ingredients are essential for the smallest of havans:
Havan Ki Samagri (Ready made) : 500gms or Homemade recipe:
Kala Til : 100gms
Jav : 25gms
Chandan powder: 100gms
Pili Sarso : 100gms
Sukhi Kheer : 100gms
Makhana : 5ogms
Ghee : ½ kg
The mixture of these ingredients mixed in ghee shall be placed in a thaal for to be used in havan.

Other things that are vital for havan are :
Gaumutra
Gangajal
Mithai or Halua for Bhog
Kusa/ Oon kambal/Chadar for Aasan
Suchi Shrawa for Aahuti
2kg Sandalwood or Mangowood

This is vedic and traditional vidhi of Hawn in simple form. Anyone can either perform this Hawan in his/her home or Devsthaan or any other suitable place or can listen to this CD and reap the respective benefits.
