Dev Anand, the name has become synonymous with youth, love, optimism and romance. This stylish lover boy, the city slicker, has won many a female heart over the past 60 years. A man for all seasons, he believes that youth is forever. Even today he looks as dashing and debonair, as he did six decades ago. Easily, he is the most charming romantic around.
Dev formed a successful romantic pair with none other than the reigning singing star Suraiya. The eternal romantic star shone with all leading heroines of the fifties & sixties, which included Nargis, Madhubala, Meena Kumari, Geeta bali, Nalini Jaywant, Nutan, Vyjayantimala, Nanda, Waheeda Rehman & Sadhana.

The decision was followed by Dev giving her a ring quietly in between the shooting of “Taxi driver” with only the cameraman and art director in the knowledge of the great moment. Quick decisions have always marked the course of his life and career.
Songs played their own significant role in weaving the charisma of Dev. Almost all his films had extremely likeable and catchy songs, the ones that enhanced his romantic, debonair & lover boy image. Most of these songs were composed by the Grand Lama of Indian Film Music, Shri Sachin Dev Burman.

Dev was busy was busy romancing beauties like Hema Malini, Rakhee, Sharmila Tagore, Zeenat Aman & Tina Munim on the big screen. A Star maker in his own right, he successfully launched stars like Zeenat & Tina.
