About the CD

"I wonder, do they have this heartache of mine. these moths. bursting into flame and giving up their souls'!" These lines by Riza Tevfik were our guide in thc creation of this album. The moth, its immolation for the sake of love, its self-sacrifice, became a constant symbol... sometimes for the sake of a lover, sometimes for the sake of a deeper love. This symbol affected us deeply and emerged as the main idea of this album. And with our friends on this path, we became moths again; a bit older and wiser, having grown a bit more. Samim Karuca and Tuner Sayacioglu, with whom we've worked on several projects over more than twenty years: Erkan Ogur, with whom we spent our school years and who since then has left deep marks on us with his personality and his music; Mehmet Kemiksiz, who after several projects is finally together with us on this album: Fahrettin and Ferruh Yarkin with their special performances; Baki Duyarlar, who wrote the violin arrangements and introduced us to Pinar; the dear Umit Kuzcr and our sound engineer Martin Spencer, who, although was not much acquainted with this music, worked so intensely with this project that he at times ended lip directing us; the dear photographer Mehmet Kismet, with whom we've friendship over many years, and who is finally working with us in this album. The road is long, the: journey goes on....’Suti Pervune' is a new cornerstone for us, a lime for us 10 slop and take a breath, feeling that we have shared a 'moment' with the writers, the players, the singers and the listeners, We ' hope that everyone finds in their heart a moth waiting to plunge into the flame, sometimes burning up, and sometimes, in its end, finding a reunion.
