Ayurvedic Medicine
The Invasion:
Our throats and lungs are continuously being attacked by tiny particles, microbes and unpredictable
weather conditions cough is essentially a reflex action i.e. the body’s way of defending itself. But
using the lung’s reserve capacity as it dose, even this purely defense mechanism irritates and
tires. Moreover, each bout of cough triggers up another, resulting in a vicious circle.
The Defense:
Madhuvaani is the natural reply to irritating coughs, cold and sore throats. With an enjoyable aroma
and sweet – spicy taste, it blends Ayurveda with modern science. Not only dose it give relief, it
ensures that the reason for the cough is soothed. And unlike modern day cough syrups, it has no
alarming sedative side effects. The formula, a ready – to – use mix of sitopaladi churn and Honey,
is one that has been in use for over 400 years, as advocated in the sharnghar samhita, the first and
best known treatise on pharmaceutics.
The Armoury:
Developed using ultra modern gel technology, Dabur’s Madhuvaani comes in a premixed form that can be
used anytime, anywhere. Madhuvaani puts together various ingredients to make up safe, effective
cough remedy that not only gives relief but provides the body with the necessary ammunition against
the attack. Pippali (pier Longum) gives the immune system a boost and reduces the risk of allergies,
touching the root of the problem. Twak (Cinnamomum zeylanica) works against pathogenic microbes in
the respiratory tract, eliminating cough trigger. Other ingredients in sitopaladi churna sponge up
irritant particles to relive congestion in the throat. Madhu (honey) acts as a comforting pharyngeal
demulcent and as “yogavahi” (medication booster).
Dabur As An Ally: For more than a hundred years, Dabur has been researching healthcare, the natural way, blending Ayurveda with modern pharmaceutical know – how.
