Framed in a dark heavenly background in burgundy color, Ganesha sits on a low levelled bright blue chowki with the left leg placed down and right folded up. The bright aureole at the back of this almighty’s richly studded crown emits rays of generosity and benevolence enabling a universe full of love, passion and joy.
The sparkling pearled plumage of this portly figure glorifies his being with the four hands performing their ritualistic actions; left hand holds the modaka topped with silver work and right tattooed with a red satiya blesses the devotees in abhaya mudra, while rear hands hold an axe and a noose respectively, painted in a realistic manner.
Sight of this almighty with the big lotus eyes and the exclusive shaivite tilak of his patronage is a mesmerizing treat in itself; attired in ravishing clothes chosen from a vibrant color palette with the beautiful pearls and rubies that veil his heavenly body luxuriously; Mooshaka raj (Ganesha’s vehicle) pays obeisance to the crowned head. The painter has very naturally depicted Ganesha’s forgiving and protecting nature in this awe-struck mural.
