This circular plate fashioned from the soft Gorahari stone, is painted in a hypnotic design. It has the flowers tracery found so commonly on the walls of the Taj. The floral pattern called the 'jharh' consists of tiger lilies, roses and other fruits and flowers. The central flower blooms into a circle of small buttercups. Triangular pots are used, for ending and beginning the arabesque pattern. Within the arch, smaller triangles are used for the curling, delicate stems, leaves and full-bloomed flowers and buds. The edges have a continuous stem with flowers and leaves.
Gold is the most prominent colour used but burgundy, blue, green and orange also find their due place.
