In left hand Tantra this diagram holds importance as it is used to possess an object, a person or even a spirit. A star made of seven triangles of different sizes forms the core of this yantra. Subsequently, a circle with closely painted lotus petals follows. Thereafter, several concentric circles with wider lotus petals follow. Some have mantras and others have seed (bija) mantras inscribed on them. The artist has used the basic colours - red, yellow and green on an orange field. The entire yantra is then placed on a beige, flatly painted background with a bold black border.
This yantra is potent if drawn on a palm or birch leaf with blood and then worshipped at an auspicious hour, strictly following the ritual code. It is said to enable the worshipper to possess just about anything he wishes to.
