(From The Collection of Rajendra Raj Bajracharya)
Visvavajra in Tibetan Buddhism is a symbol of immense strength and divinity. Made up of four Vajra heads, pointing to the four directions, a Visvavajra represents the indestructible powers of enlightenment and unwavering firmness, qualities that a seeker of enlightenment must possess. The Visvavajra is also associated with Amoghasiddhi, whose benevolence helps one gain infallible success in spiritual endeavors. The mighty potencies of Visvajra have been given a central space in this sacred Tibetan Mantra Mandala, painted with vibrant shades, with the Vajra surrounded by red and black hues, colors that symbolize the firmness of heart and will in the Buddhist fold. Meditating with this Thangka, the devotee can experience the virtues descending in the depths of their consciousness, resulting in the bloom of the lotus of inner wisdom.
