According to the ancient texts of the Linga Puranas, the symbolic linga is a cosmic pillar that represents the infinite nature of Shiva. One without any beginning or an end. The length of a complete Shiva Linga is subdivided into three parts representing the holy trinity of Hinduism: The creator at the base, preserver in the middle, and the destroyer being the tip. This unique assembly we have for you contains the essentials you need for the worship of the Shiva Linga. The beautiful black Shivalinga is mounted upon a bronze stand.
At the base of the linga stands the Trishul, with Shiva’s hour-glass drum, the divine damru of destruction. Along its side stands a representation of the primal syllable ‘om’. An exquisite ruby-eyed cobra spreads its hood over the linga like a golden parasol. Note the detailed etchings inside the hood of the snake. On top of this assembly is fixed a dripping vase, that can be used to bathe the linga drip-by-drip with either milk or water, or as required by the worshipper. The pedestal is provided with a passage for drainage through the bottom of the assembly.
