Goddess Parvati here stands at ease in the triple bent posture on a square lotus base. The left arm extends in lolahasta, whereas the right is bent at the elbow with the hand displaying the katakamukha gesture, intended to hold a flower. The goddess is depicted with a narrow waist, smooth flat stomach and a long dhoti clinging to her limbs, held at the waist by an elaborate waistband. She wears a towering crown and numerous ornaments including bangles, armlets and necklaces.
This sculpture was cast in the central Indian city of Aligarh, in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
