Devi Tara has the tall, slender form of the seasoned yogini. From the navel downwards She is clad in a silken dhoti, which is engraved with lines and curves derived from Himalayan art. Silken sashes descend from the sides of Her hips as well as between Her legs. The hem of Her dhoti grazes Her ankles, while Her feet rest on a pedestal the shape of a flower with multiple layers of petals.
Her exquisite upper body is adorned with minimal shrignar - a necklace of gold that rests on Her clavicles, patterned bracelets down the length of Her shapely arms, and karnakundalas dangling from earlobes lengthened by years of accumulated wisdom. From the minimalistic engravings of Her facial features to the number and style of the spires of Her crown, this murti is in keeping with traditional Buddhist iconography.
