In the region of Gujarat, the powers of supreme mother are worshipped by many warring clans as goddess Dasama, also known as Momai amongst her devotees. She is the Kuladevi or tutelary goddess of several Rajput families, who evoke her as their protector. In this brass statue, goddess Dasama is in a four-armed form, wearing a saree, ornaments and crown, and sits on a camel, an animal closely associated with the life and culture of the people of Gujarat.
