Lord Ganesha structured in a distinctive head posture with the small serrated trunk curled beautifully at the bottom; left wrist carved with a satiya, blesses the devotees of fearlessness and right holds his favourite sweetmeat ladoo. Ganesha’s head represents that of an elephant as when his father Lord Shiva cut his head out of anger, he was later gifted with the head of an elephant by the divine ganas.
This face mask represents all features of Ganesha chiselled and moulded uniquely to form a realistic imagery. His big ears are tattooed with a beautifully bloomed flower while the heavenly flower haloed crown formed in multiple layers of unique patterns glows heroically on his head with a Shaivite Tilak highlighting his patronage.
This wall hanging is revered not only because of its auspiciousness of being that of Lord Ganesha but also because of the beauteous way it is carved, focussing each and every minute detail with great certainty and cleanliness.
