The Brilliant Lord Shiva

$2746
Only 1 available

Shiva, handsome as only He can be, sits on Mount Kailash wielding a long trident.

With His main right hand he blesses His devotees. There is a damaru in His right back hand. It was from the beat of His damaru that the axioms of Sanskrit Grammar emerged.

The corresponding left hand holds a deer, symbolising the individual soul, informing us that Bhagawan Shiva is Pashupatinath, meaning the Lord of all beings.

In addition to regular jewelry, Shiva wraps around his neck a serpent like a necklace, with its hood raised on the right side of His face.

The beautiful strands of His hair also are tied up with a serpent. There is a crescent moon in His coiffure justifying His name as ‘Chandrashekhar’ (One crowned with the moon).

Smooth and gold-like, the entire composition shines brilliantly like a thousand suns, befitting Bhagawan Shiva’s status as the Supreme God.

Introducing the Majestic Lord Shiva: A Masterpiece in Shivani Wood

This exquisite 32 x 23.5 x 14-inch Shivani wood statue captures the essence of Lord Shiva, the destroyer and transformer in the Hindu trinity. Meticulously crafted, this piece showcases the artistry and dedication of skilled artisans, bringing to life the powerful deity in stunning detail. The rich, warm tones of the Shivani wood enhance the intricate carvings, creating a truly awe-inspiring representation of one of Hinduism’s most revered figures. The statue depicts Shiva seated majestically, embodying his serene yet powerful nature. His iconic trident (trishul), a symbol of his dominion over creation, destruction, and preservation, is held firmly in his hand. The cobra adorning his neck, representing his mastery over the forces of nature, adds to the regal aura of this exceptional artwork. This statue is more than just a decorative piece; it's a profound symbol of faith and spirituality, perfect for personal devotion or a captivating addition to any collection of religious art.

Lord Shiva: The Destroyer and Transformer

In Hindu mythology, Lord Shiva holds a unique and complex position. He is not simply a destroyer but a transformer, a force of cosmic renewal. His role is to break down old structures, both physical and spiritual, to clear the way for new beginnings. This aspect of Shiva is often symbolized by the dance of Shiva Nataraja – a depiction of him performing a cosmic dance that destroys the universe to recreate it anew. The statue's serene posture, however, portrays another side of Shiva – his capacity for profound meditation and inner peace. He is the yogi, the ascetic, embodying the power of self-control and spiritual realization. His association with mountains and the wildness of nature underscores his untamed power and connection to the primal forces of the universe.

The Symbolism of the Statue's Details

Every detail in this meticulously carved statue is rich with symbolism. The cobra around his neck (representing Kundalini energy) not only signifies his mastery over nature but also the cyclical nature of life, death, and rebirth. The Trishul, or trident, represents the three gunas – sattva (goodness), rajas (passion), and tamas (ignorance) – which govern the universe. The crescent moon adorning his hair signifies time and its cycles, a concept intricately linked to Shiva's role as the cosmic transformer. Even the positioning of his hands, the intricacies of his attire, and the lotus-like base, all speak volumes about the rich tapestry of beliefs associated with the divine Shiva.

Bringing the Divine Home: A Piece of Indian Heritage

This hand-carved Shivani wood statue is more than just a decorative item; it's a piece of Indian heritage, embodying centuries of artistic tradition and spiritual devotion. The intricate carvings and attention to detail speak to the skill and dedication of the artisans who painstakingly crafted this artwork. The dark wooden base perfectly complements the rich golden hues of the Shivani wood, enhancing the statue's overall aesthetic appeal. Possessing this statue is not merely about owning an object; it's about bringing a piece of India's rich spiritual heritage into your home, a symbol of serenity, power, and the enduring cycle of transformation. This statue is a perfect addition to any home décor, bringing an air of spirituality and tranquility to your living space.
