The gorgeous Devi Lakshmi, seated in lalitasana upon a gigantic lotus bloom. She is the tall and slender wife of Lord Vishnu, the presiding deity over the process of divine srshti (creative projection). As the presiding deity over wealth and resources, Vishnupriya Devi Lakshmi is indispensable to Him. Fashioned from pure brass and available in a variety of finishes, each to suit a certain spatial temperament, the Devi Lakshmi murti that you see on this page would be a statement buy for your home or office temple.

She is clad in a dhoti, the hems of which serve to reveal the delicate beauty of Her golden feet. A narrow waist supports a full, maternal chest overlain with an ornate breastband and layered necklaces. She is the Chaturbhujadharini, the one possessed of (‘dharini’) four (‘chatur’) arms (‘bhuja’), in the posterior pair of which She holds golden lotuses. Indeed, the lotus motif is crucial to Vaishnavite iconography. Midway through the two lotuses is the svarna-mukhamandala (luminescent countenance) of the Devi, its gracious features set off by the tall crown tapering above Her head.
