Rama Darbar is the depiction of an ideal human livelihood, where Maryada Purushottam Rama is the perfect man and he together with Sita (His wife) represent the supreme man and woman. Laxman is the flawless supporting brother and a caring brother-in-law for Sita; Lord Hanuman personifies fidelity and selfless devotion towards his guru and god, Lord Rama.
This sculpture is carved out of the most popular and beneficial White Cedar Wood, highly demanded because of its milky brown glossy color, smooth texture and the specialty of being resistant to insects and harsh outdoor conditions. Rama, Lakshman and Sita stand here on beautifully carved double lotus pedestals and ornamented richly in golds and flowers.
Rama and Lakshman dressed in luxurious pleated dhoti carry their iconic bow and arrow, while Sita clad in the royal silk saree of soft pleats holds a lotus flower symbolizing purity. If you have a keen look at their crown, you will be mesmerized by their exquisite structures and marvelous intricate carvings. Lord Hanuman sits gently near Rama’s feet with the hands joined in gesture of paying obeisance to his lord.
