This monogram is a clarion call to all Jains and the followers of Jain Dharma to awaken from their slumber and prepare themselves to fight for their constitutional rights and to uphold Jain Dharma on an universal scale. One should be a forceful person and not a mendicant to defend one's dignity. Attempt is made to enlighten the youth about the antiquity, secularism and universality of Jain theology under the caption "Bird's Eye view on Jainism" This monogram is to showcase the voice of the minority to the globalised world and further to illustrate that in the history of humanity, whenever the voice of the minority is stultified or throttled by the majority, pen plays a mightier role than the sword's edge. The youth of Jain Dharma, must strive their best to correct the maladies, that are besetting the practice of Jain Dharma and shed their complexes and inhibitions and be proud of their lineage and strive their best to preserve Jain Dharma which is pluralistic and universal. Jain Dharma is called universal religion (SARVA DHARMA) as it has made power and character in one word charitra as an integral element of perfection side by side with knowledge and faith. Decadency has set, in the practice of Jain Dharma. In the history of humanity and operation of universal Law AVASARPINI period must be followed by UTSARPINI. Ascendency of Jainism rests with the youth of the Jain community and its followers. Authors pray Thirthankaras to bless their effort in bringing about this monogram and make it a light of divine guidance to those who are steeped in darkness and also to those who seek to know universal truths of Jainism. Authors are beholden to vadoja Prof. Hampa Nagarajiah, Nadoja Prof. Kamala Hampana and Prof. Padmaprasad for favouring with their critical comments, reviewing errors, oversights and inadequacies. Authors do not think that mere words can ever adequately express their gratitude to the above eminent Jain Scholars. Our gratitude to Sri S. Jithendra Kumar for accepting to publish this monogram through Panditaratna A. Shanthiraja Shastry Trust. We express our sincere gratitude to Sri M. Nagaraju and his staff of M/s.
