Coming from the Persian word Pashm which means ‘soft gold’, Pashmina is a legacy of art and tradition that starts its journey in Ladakh and Kashmir and makes its way to the remotest corners of the world.

Obtained from the fleece of a rare goat in Ladakh’s Changhthang region, Pashmina wool is sent to Kashmir for further processing and that is where the magic unfolds. When it reaches the valley, it is made into yarn and then into fabric. Once the fabric is ready, it is converted into a variety of garments like shawls. Thereafter, numerous hours are spent on these shawls by Kashmiri artisans embroidering beautiful and intricate patterns on them.

This natural toned pure Pashmina shawl is the product of exquisite Kashmiri craftsmanship that has been leaving people spellbound for generations. Apart from being a magnificent work of art, it is lightweight and extremely soft in texture. Its unmatched warmth makes it the perfect accessory for winters. The cool tones of the blue-coloured thread paired with the warm tones of taupe create a mesmerizing contrast. Floral vines have been stitched on the fabric in a Jalidar pattern using the Sozni embroidery technique. Crafted entirely by hand in the scenic valleys of Kashmir, this timeless masterpiece makes for a classic heirloom.
