Srilekha's "Janapadam-Gnanapatham" is a complete work on Folk dances of India. She has done her B.S Kuchpudi and M.A Kuchipudi acquring two gold Medals form PS Telugu University. Now she is doing her reasearch for PhD in Classical dance of Kuchipudi. I am pleasantly surprised by the research and efforts that went into a book of Folk dance, though she is a trained Classical dancer. Folk dance is the pulse of India. Indian heart beats to the folk ruthm.
"Janapadam-Gnanapatham" is a book that must be read by every artiste and art lover. I have known her father, Mudigonda Sivaprasad personally and professionally for almost forty years. The apple does not fall from the tree. She is surely an able daughter of an able father.
I am glad P.S.Telugu Universty is giving financial assistance to publish this book. A good book leaves a sweet memory to the writer as well as the reader.
