Indian philosopher and spiritual leader Vethathiri Maharishi founded the World Community Service Centre (WCSC). He created the "Simplified Kundalini Yoga" (SKY) comprehensive yoga system, which aims to advance one's physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
Vethathiri Maharishi was an independent learner who created his own philosophy based on his own observations and experiences. He held that the absence of harmony between the body, mind, and soul was the root of all human problems and that this could be remedied by practising a comprehensive form of yoga that combined physical exercises, breathing exercises, meditation, and self-inquiry.
More than 200 works of Vethathiri Maharishi on spirituality, yoga, and philosophy have influenced millions of people all over the world.
