The advent of Sri Sathya Sai Avatar is undoubtedly the greatest phenomenon that the Earth had ever witnessed, in terms of single-handed lifetime achievements, in terms of world wide recognition about superhuman capabilities, in terms of scholastic erudition upon physical and meta-physical faculties and ideas, in terms of idealistic way of living set forth as practical ideology; in terms of astounding miracles displayed in conjunction with upliftment of the downtrodden, saving of the distressed and redemption of the wayward; in terms of the great organizational abilities; in terms of capability of attracting people of all cadres, creeds, races, religions, professions and political affiliations; In terms of capabilities of curing most incurable and unbearable diseases without the aid of any medication or surgery and by mere 'will'; in terms of capabilities of appearing in several places at the same time; in terms of knowing the innermost thoughts of all people and innermost feelings of their hearts; in terms of great personal qualities of patience, truthfulness, virtuosity, lifelong celibacy, simple living, divine charisma, blemishless character and above all the unfathomable inexhaustible, selfless and spontaneous Love towards humans, animals, birds, insects, Gods and even the sinful beings; in terms of equality towards all religions; in terms of practicability of preaching of all faiths; and in terms of knowledge about the past, future and the present of all beings.
Bhagawan Baba had no doubt stretched human thoughts to unimaginable dimensions and levels of consciousness by way of His practical philosophy, simple exhortations and exemplary life.
Baba had broken heaps of superstitions; religious, scientific and rational as well. He punctured ego at every level and in all its forms, paving the way for a truthful and righteous bent of life.
Bhagawan Baba has brought about a silent, peaceful, and joyful ethical revolution on a world scale; without making any kind of publicity or propaganda.
The tears that were wiped from lakhs of troubled souls, the transformation of lakhs of hard hearts into caring and loving beings, the lakhs of satiated tongues that were craving for water, the lakhs of patients that were cured without charging one rupee, the lakhs of students who got educated freely and the lakhs of believers who found their goals are all living witnesses to this great phenomenon, the Sri Sathya Sai Avatar.
Every religion has been endowed with Prophets, Messiahs, Saints, Rushis, Tathaagathas, Arhats or Avatars. The essence of all religions connotes brotherhood of man and fatherhood of God. Some religions however stressed only on the aspects of good human behaviour and sense control as saving tools. Every religion has its own set of rituals, practises, principles, rules and norms. Every religion has its set of superstitions.
The multiplicity of deities, superstitions, gullible followings and tireless rituals are the main target of criticism and derision from the people who profess rational thinking, pragmatic approach, civilized behaviour and modern outlook. Some deeper analysis will surely lead us to the fact that these above mentioned aspects are only minor aberrations compared to the deep rooted maladies such as group, sect or community wise egoism, over enthusiastic spirit of competition, intolerance, eagerness for publicity, exaggeration of virtues, professing inherent defects as merits, and communal violence, etc.
The critics, atheists, agnostics, cynics and above all the anti-religious, philosophers have in fact their own kinds of superstitions, gullibilities, perversions and questionable answers and beatable theories.
