The purpose of our human birth is to develop love and devotion for God and ultimately attain liberation. The ancient sages have shown us various paths which lead to salvation. Amongst them, the path of devotion is easy, comfortable and full of bliss.
Devotion towards Lord Sai, the Lord of the Kaliyuga², enables all creatures to cross the ocean of samsara easily. Lord Sai, the ocean of compassion, is pleased even when one merely thinks of Him. All those who sip the nectar of His divine sport gets rid of all difficulties, poverty, illness and ignorance and attains eternal bliss. Consuming the feast of Lord Sai's leelas (Divine sport). is the safest and easiest way that gives one joy of both this world and the one beyond. It showers bliss on devotees and satisfies all their desires.
Many books have so far been published about Baba and all are sweet. This book is a result of a long and extensive research. The leelas have been methodically classified and beautifully depicted. So far no epic has been presented so uniquely with so many leelas of Lord Sai and it is all due to His divine grace. It must be noted here that many of the leelas have come directly from devotees who were fortunate to have lived in the divine presence of Lord Sai.
The childhood story of Shirdi Sai has been a mystery to all and a few authors have written some stories born of their imagination with no evidence of its authenticity. However Bhagawan Shree Sathya Sai Baba Himself has revealed to His devotees the childhood story of His previous incarnation, the details of which are presented in this epic and so there can never be any doubt about its authenticity.
In this epic some of Baba's leelas have been presented along with their inner significance from a Vedantic outlook to enable devotees 'to comprehend the Vedantic meaning behind Baba's leelas.
