Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba's expositions will appease the healthy appetite for spiritual investigation and metaphysical realization of the infinite. Baba opened a fresh path. All the divine discourses of Bhagawan are scholarly to the core and essentially philosophic. We express our deep gratitude to Bhagawan whose wonderful manifestation is mysterious universe, who lights up all souls great and small and from whose grace spring all our tiny activities, before whose might all earthy grandeur is but dust and glamour. Bhagawan gives a concise and succinct account of spirituality as distinguished from Incorrect and conflicting interpretations on the one hand and misrepresentations of adverse schools on the other. His traditional method of presentation elucidates the central theme of Sanathana Dharma and convincingly reconciles all apparently conflicting doctrines. Bhagawan's wisdom contained in His work and discourses ensures everyone an equally clear vision of its powerful and eternal message. It is a message which cannot fail to touch the minds and spirits of all those who will reach for it. We seek comfort and enlightenment within the message, Bhagawan's views are practical and help to resuscitate and strengthen the mind and emotions. This directs us towards selecting the most useful and effective options in life. There is an eradication of ego and of our insatiable desires. The title of this book DIVINE REFLECTIONS makes it self-explanatory. Yet it is much more. It is a journey of discovery, for that, which always has been and still is there, within us, but cannot be found. This is the hidden splendour. We also come across instances when Baba pin-points the problems and weaknesses that we have to face and cope with. Bhagawan changes our thinking and attitude. All that we can do is to live by Bhagawan's teachings and pray that Swamy guides us at all times. He is doer. Our job is to do whatever He directs us to do with His divine grace. Baba's teachings are sure to bring a smile in our life whenever we are obedient to them in our words and deeds. Swamy will continue to remain by us eternally. We decide to place Him and not any one as we keep on doing our duty. We learn to thank Him in all conditions, circumstances and in all incidents of life. These are the lessons we learn in our Satsanghs, as we understand Swamy's teachings.
I'm much indebted to Prof. P.V. Vaidyanathan, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala who read the type script, edited and finally brought out the present book 'DIVINE REFLECTIONS' placed in your hands now. I feel inadequate in my expression to thank Prof. P.V. Vaidyanathan for all valuable advice and help. I'm profited by the suggestions and support by V. Bhadran, District President, Sri Sathya Sai Organizations, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala and Prof. Mukundan, State President, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organizations, Kerala. I'm very greatful to all of those brethren for encouragement and pray Bhagawan to shower His choicest blessings to continue to spread His divine message.
