About The Book

As we all know teacher plays a pivotal role in the teaching learning process, Enlightened, empowered and emancipated teachers lead communities and nations in their march towards better and higher qualities of life. They reveal and elaborate the secrets of attaining higher values in life and nurture empathy for the fellow beings. As empowered teachers are the assets for the society attempts have been made to empower them from time to time by means of reforming the teacher education programmes. It is being felt that existing teacher education curriculum needs to be changed as teachers being trained through the present programme are unable to prove their competence and worth. Although efforts are being made. by NCTE in this direction but due to some or the other reasons it is not being formulized. An earnest need of overhauling the whole system is being felt by the people directly or indirectly concerned with the same. In order to empower the teachers, their training should be planned in a manner that can enable them to perform their role properly. They have to be trained in the art as well as science of value inculcation among their students. They must know to manage stress in an efficient manner by understanding the situation realistically.
