HH Bhakti Karunamay Vanamali Swami is a revered spiritual leader and dedicated follower of the Vaishnava tradition. Born on May 31st, 1969, a day celebrated as the auspicious Jyestha Purnima -Snan Yatra, the Divine Birth Day of Lord Jagannath, his life's journey has been marked by a deep devotion to spiritual growth and service. Raised in the vibrant city of Chembur, Mumbai, Vanmali Swami's spiritual quest led him to the doors of ISKCON Juhu in 1988, during his third year of pursuing a B.Sc degree. Despite embarking on a promising career path, he felt a profound yearning for a higher purpose that would eventually shape the course of his life. In 1990, He made a significant decision by joining the Indian Armed Forces as a Military Officer in the Motorized Infantry Battalion. For six years, he dedicated himself to the service of the nation, but amidst the excitement and challenges of Army life, his heart remained connected to his earlier experiences at the Sri Sri Radha Rasabihari Temple in Juhu. In 1996, his unwavering devotion led him to formally become a part of ISKCON Juhu. His commitment to the spiritual path and desire to spread the message of love and devotion soon led him to ISKCON Mira Road, where he continued his service with even greater vigor. A turning point in his spiritual journey came in 1997, on the auspicious day of Nityananda Trayodasi, when he was initiated by HH Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaja. This marked the beginning of a new phase of intense devotion and selfless service.
Have you ever thought about how some people believe that thinking about Krishna can solve all the problems in our lives? It's like they are thinking about Krishna is the solution to all the problems in our life. On the Other side, they say that not thinking about Krishna is the cause of all the problems in our life. This suggests that our human body is pretty amazing because it give us the ability to think. This human body is the best instrument in which a soul can always think about Krishna in all time, place and circumstances. Compare our bodies to other animals' bodies - like how an elephant's body is all about eating, or a mosquito's body is like a child producing machine; Polar bear's body is like a machine for sleeping, and a tortoise's body is a defending body. But what sets us, humans, apart is that our bodies are like super machines for thinking, especially about Krishna. This idea is about how dedicating our thinking to Krishna can make our problems go away and bring happiness not just to us, but to everyone around us. So, let's dive into this idea and see how thinking about Krishna can be the key to a joyful and problem-free life.
