In recent years, a great deal of literature has been published about the Narmada. For several reasons, academic and religious, the Narmada Valley has been the subject of numerous expeditions, debates and publications, both scientific and popular.
We ourselves accomplished a unique journey of Narmada. It was in the last decade of the past century. We were also one to publish a book in Hindi language based on the experiences of Narmada. The Hindi book somehow reached overseas where it was received with enthusiasm and interest by fellow Indians.
To our pleasure, the readers informed us that more people were curious to know about the Holy Narmada. Obviously they wanted to read a book on Narmada in English language.
