The way, first three volumes of Physicochemical standard of Unani formulations of this compilation have been welcomed by the researchers of Unani Medicine and manufacturers of drugs has been a source of inspiration for us to bring out this work with greater zeal.
This fourth volume which contains physiochemical standards of fifty Unani compound formulations is an improvement over previous columes. Few changes have been made for improving the format of this book without changing design of the monograph.
Besides composition, physicochemical standards action, therapeutic uses and dosage this volume also includes glossary of the ingredients with their English and Scientific names and Unani technical terms with respect to names of diseases, uses and action of the formulations with their modern equivalent(s).
The procedures for determination of physicochemical characters of the formulation have been retained from previous volumes. We are optimistic that this volume will be equally well received by the researchers and industries of Unani System of Medicine.
