In the delightful woodland ambience, amorous fancies stir among this couple. A woman, owner of a curvaceous and lithe body, stands coyly against the tree. Not only is her head bent, the eyes too are downcast. She wears a short sari, the edge of which also covers her upper body. Her hair is in an elaborate coiffure and decorated as well. The graceful positioning of her body with one leg bent and resting on the tree as well as her hand clinging to it is used in all probabilities as a means of restraint from walking into the arms of her lover. The man, turbanned, the edges of which hang behind his back, is wearing a short dhoti reaching above his knees but his torso is bare. He is a tribal hunter carrying a huge bow, but all he seems to have captured is his beloved's heart. Both wear solid anklets, bangles, hasli and earrings according to tribal tradition. The woman's hand movements are nervous, contrary to the man's confident ones. Their eyes are deeply tinctured with love and show the tranquility and pleasures of love in union, evident also from the posture and aspect of the lovers.

There is undiluted sympathy and unabashed naturalness as well as dignified restraint, not to mention the elegant rhythmic line and mastery of color.
