Lord Jagannath, Meaning Lord of the world, is considered to be a form of Lord of the world, is considered to be a form of Lord Krishna, the beloved avtar of Lord Vishnu. This yearly Yatra, held in the middle of summers, is gigantic in proportions and assimilates people from the world over.
