This brass hanging lamp combines classic and modern aesthetics with a stylized depiction of a bird leaning down and attempting to pull its feathers with its beak. The light comes with a strong cord and a hanging hook. A standard oil basin is removed, and a flower-like arrangement of six leaf-shaped lights is affixed to the parrots' construction. The leaf-shaped lamps have bells connected to them. This personalized lamp is a beautiful addition to any traditional house or Puja area, but it may also be utilized as a ceremonial object to receive immense benefits while providing the warmth of Agni or the sacred fire.

Embodiment of Auspiciousness and Light

This exquisite brass hanging lamp is a testament to the rich artistic heritage of India, meticulously handcrafted by skilled artisans. It features a pair of elegantly depicted parrots, symbols of love, harmony, and auspiciousness in various Indian traditions. Parrots are often associated with Kamadeva, the god of love, and are believed to bring joy and prosperity. Their vibrant presence in this lamp is said to usher in positive energies into your home or sacred space. –––––––––––––––––––

A Symphony of Light and Sound

The lamp is designed to hold multiple diyas (oil lamps), creating a cascade of warm, flickering light that dispels darkness and symbolizes spiritual illumination. As the lamps burn, the gentle movement of the lamp may cause the delicate brass bells attached to its base to chime softly. These bells are not merely decorative; they are an integral part of ritualistic practices, believed to ward off evil spirits, invite divine presence, and create a sacred ambiance. In Hindu mythology, the ringing of bells during puja (worship) is considered an offering to the deities, awakening them and signifying the auspiciousness of the moment. –––––––––––––––––––

Timeless Craftsmanship and Cultural Resonance

Crafted from durable brass, this hanging lamp is built to last, promising to be a cherished heirloom. The intricate detailing on the parrots and the structure of the lamp speak volumes about the dedication and expertise of the artisans. Its traditional design makes it a perfect addition to altars, prayer rooms, balconies, or any space where you wish to infuse a sense of divinity and tranquility. The warm, golden hue of brass itself is associated with wealth and purity, further enhancing the spiritual significance of the piece. This lamp is more than just a decorative item; it is a piece of functional art that connects you to ancient traditions and imbues your surroundings with a sense of peace and grace.

How to keep a Brass statue well-maintained?

Brass statues are known and appreciated for their exquisite beauty and luster. The brilliant bright gold appearance of Brass makes it appropriate for casting aesthetic statues and sculptures. Brass is a metal alloy composed mainly of copper and zinc. This chemical composition makes brass a highly durable and corrosion-resistant material. Due to these properties, Brass statues and sculptures can be kept both indoors as well as outdoors. They also last for many decades without losing all their natural shine.

Brass statues can withstand even harsh weather conditions very well due to their corrosion-resistance properties. However, maintaining the luster and natural beauty of brass statues is essential if you want to prolong their life and appearance.

  • The best and simplest way to maintain a brass statue is to clean it at least twice a week using a soft cloth or cotton rag. This will prevent dust from accumulating on the surface. Dusting is especially important for outdoor statues since it is prone to dust accumulation much more than indoors.

  • To give a natural shine and luster to the statue, you may apply coconut or olive oil using cotton on every portion. You can use a toothbrush to get to the small crevices but do not be too harsh. This will make the brass statue appear fresh and new with a polished look.

  • In case you have a colored brass statue, you may apply mustard oil using a soft brush or clean cloth on the brass portion while for the colored portion of the statue, you may use coconut oil with a cotton cloth.

Brass idols of Hindu Gods and Goddesses are especially known for their intricate and detailed work of art. Nepalese sculptures are famous for small brass idols portraying Buddhist deities. These sculptures are beautified with gold gilding and inlay of precious or semi-precious stones. Religious brass statues can be kept at home altars. You can keep a decorative brass statue in your garden or roof to embellish the area and fill it with divinity.
