Palden Lhamo, also
known as Panden Lhamo, Magzor Gyalmo, or Remati, holds a significant protective
role within the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism. She is
revered as the principal proteress of Tibet and is considered the guardian deity
of both Tibet and Mongolia due to her wrathful nature. Palden Lhamo is often
associated with being the tutelary deity of Tibet and its government. She is
recognized as one of the Obstacle-Removing Mahakala deities.
