The Divine Cycle of Ten Avatars

Embrace the profound concept of cosmic preservation with this exquisite collection representing the Dashavatar, the ten principal incarnations of Lord Vishnu. In Hindu philosophy, Vishnu is the preserver deity, tasked with maintaining balance in the universe. When the world is threatened by chaos and evil, Vishnu descends in various forms to restore dharma and protect humanity. This set, meticulously handcrafted from brass, brings these divine manifestations to your sacred space, offering a tangible connection to ancient wisdom and spiritual continuity. ––––––––––

A Pantheon of Cosmic Significance

Each figure in this set embodies a unique era and a specific purpose in Vishnu's grand design. From the primordial Matsya, who saved the Vedas from the demon Hayagriva, to the ultimate Kalki, destined to appear at the end of the Kali Yuga to destroy wickedness and usher in a new golden age, each avatar signifies a crucial intervention in the cosmic drama. The inclusion of Kurma, the tortoise who supported the mount Mandara during the churning of the ocean; Narasimha, the man-lion who protected his devotee Prahlada; Vamana, the dwarf who reclaimed the universe from the demon king Bali; Parashurama, the warrior sage who rid the earth of oppressive kshatriyas; Rama, the ideal king and hero of the Ramayana; Krishna, the divine charioteer and exponent of the Bhagavad Gita; and Buddha, the enlightened one who brought forth wisdom and compassion, illustrates the diverse methods Vishnu employs to uphold righteousness. This collection serves as a powerful reminder of the cyclical nature of existence and the divine intervention that guides it. ––––––––––

Timeless Craftsmanship in Brass

Crafted from durable and lustrous brass, each of these miniature figures is a testament to skilled artistry. The choice of brass not only lends an enduring quality to the statues but also imbues them with a traditional reverence, as brass is often associated with purity and auspiciousness in Hindu rituals. The intricate details, though small in scale, capture the essence of each avatar's form and symbolic attributes. These handmade pieces are not mere decorations but devotional objects, designed to inspire contemplation, devotion, and a deeper understanding of the divine play of the Dashavatar. Place them on your altar, bookshelf, or desk to invite spiritual energy and a sense of divine presence into your home or workspace. They make a meaningful gift for those who appreciate Hindu mythology, spiritual practices, or exquisite artisanal craftsmanship.

How to keep a Brass statue well-maintained?

Brass statues are known and appreciated for their exquisite beauty and luster. The brilliant bright gold appearance of Brass makes it appropriate for casting aesthetic statues and sculptures. Brass is a metal alloy composed mainly of copper and zinc. This chemical composition makes brass a highly durable and corrosion-resistant material. Due to these properties, Brass statues and sculptures can be kept both indoors as well as outdoors. They also last for many decades without losing all their natural shine.

Brass statues can withstand even harsh weather conditions very well due to their corrosion-resistance properties. However, maintaining the luster and natural beauty of brass statues is essential if you want to prolong their life and appearance.

  • The best and simplest way to maintain a brass statue is to clean it at least twice a week using a soft cloth or cotton rag. This will prevent dust from accumulating on the surface. Dusting is especially important for outdoor statues since it is prone to dust accumulation much more than indoors.

  • To give a natural shine and luster to the statue, you may apply coconut or olive oil using cotton on every portion. You can use a toothbrush to get to the small crevices but do not be too harsh. This will make the brass statue appear fresh and new with a polished look.

  • In case you have a colored brass statue, you may apply mustard oil using a soft brush or clean cloth on the brass portion while for the colored portion of the statue, you may use coconut oil with a cotton cloth.

Brass idols of Hindu Gods and Goddesses are especially known for their intricate and detailed work of art. Nepalese sculptures are famous for small brass idols portraying Buddhist deities. These sculptures are beautified with gold gilding and inlay of precious or semi-precious stones. Religious brass statues can be kept at home altars. You can keep a decorative brass statue in your garden or roof to embellish the area and fill it with divinity.
