“Madhuradipate Akhilam Madhuram”

“The Lord of All Things Swwe is the Sweetest One in the Entire Universe”

Krishna is unlike any other God. And the nectar of his divine Lilas seems to be flowing from every part of this otherworldly bronze sculpture.

The charming Tribhanga Murari wears a long Vaishnava crown, with Mor-Pankha, gemmed necklace, silk garments, ornate waist jewelry, Makarakrita Kundala (an emblem of Vishnu’s forms), with Mayura perched on his shoulders, as if offering their iridescent feathers as the Skandhabhushana (shoulder ornament) for Kanha.

Krishna’s splendor surpasses that of the Lord of Gods, Indra, an idea highlighted by the mighty elephants, Yali and Makara forming his aureole- the majestic animals made miniscule in front of the cosmic aura of Brija’s beloved flute players.

The Divine Murari

Behold a magnificent embodiment of divine love and transcendent joy. This substantial bronze sculpture captures Krishna, the enchanting flute-playing deity, in a graceful *tribhanga* pose – a triple-bend that exemplifies elegance and balance. The stance is not merely aesthetic; it mirrors the harmonious balance Krishna brings to the universe, captivating hearts and minds alike. The *tribhanga* posture, with its bends at the neck, waist, and knee, is more than just a display of physical form. It is a yogic asana in itself, symbolising a state of being centered, at ease, and in complete harmony with the surrounding world. As Krishna stands in this graceful pose, he beckons us to embrace the same equilibrium within ourselves.

The Flute's Enchantment

Krishna, known as Murari, the slayer of the demon Mura, is often depicted with his flute, the instrument through which he summons devotees and charms all of creation. The flute itself is a symbol of emptiness, suggesting that only when we empty ourselves of ego can we be filled with the divine music of existence. The lilting melodies emanating from Krishna's flute are believed to hold the power to enchant not just humans, but also animals, birds, and even the trees and rivers of Vrindavan, the pastoral paradise where he spent his youth. The very act of listening to his flute is said to transport one to a state of blissful communion with the divine.

The Kirtimukha and the Prabhavali

Adding to the grandeur of this piece is the *Kirtimukha Prabhavali*. The *Prabhavali* is the halo or arch surrounding the deity, an emanation of divine light and energy. At the apex of this arch resides the *Kirtimukha*, the "Face of Glory." This fearsome yet auspicious face is a guardian figure, warding off negative energies and ensuring the sanctity of the sacred space. The *Kirtimukha*, born from Shiva’s wrath, symbolizes the control of destructive forces, a reminder that even fury can be channeled for the greater good. Its presence here ensures that the blissful energy of Krishna is protected and amplified.

Artisanal Creation

Crafted from bronze using the traditional *panchaloha* method, this statue represents a convergence of artistry and devotion. The intricate details of Krishna's adornments, the delicate expression on his face, and the elaborate ornamentation of the *Prabhavali* are a testament to the skill and dedication of the artisans who brought this vision to life. Every curve, every line, is imbued with meaning and purpose, creating a work of art that is both visually stunning and spiritually profound. This bronze statue measures 63.0 inches in height, 34.0 inches in width, and 17.0 inches in depth, making it a commanding presence in any space. It is a perfect addition to a sacred space, a meditation room, or any environment where you wish to invoke the blessings of Krishna. It serves not just as a decorative piece but a tangible representation of love, devotion, and the eternal dance of creation.
