Fern-Green Baluchari Sari from Bengal with Woven Radha-Krishna

$339
Includes any tariffs and taxes
This gorgeous Baluchari is designed by craftsmen in Bengal. Earlier, it was mainly produced in Murshidabad but presently Bishnupur and its surrounding places in West Bengal is the only area where authentic Baluchuri saris are produced.

This saree depicts story of Hindu gods Radha and Krishna. Radha’s undying love for Krishna is often interpreted as the ultimate quest of a mortal to unite with the divine. Radha and Krishna are the primeval forms of God and His pleasure potency respectively, in the Gaudiya Vaishnava school of thought.

In some schools of Vaishnavism, Krishna is referred to as Svayam Bhagavan, and Radha is illustrated as the primeval power of the three main sovereignties of God, Hladini (immense spiritual bliss), Sandhini (eternality) and Samvit (existential consciousness) of which Radha is an embodiment of the feeling of love towards the almighty Lord, Krishna (Hladini).

The pallu of this saree portrays the love between Radha and Krishna. Another illustration which can be seen depicts the scene where Radha and Krishna were lost in love. The saree pictures Krishna with His flute, along with Radha who is lost in melodious sound of His music. Motifs of Krishna are woven across the saree with blue coloured thread. This beautiful saree is must have for all the people who aspire for exclusive fashion.
