EKTA JAIN

Introducing Ekta Jain: A Masterful Botanist and Ambidextrous Art Virtuoso

In the world of art, Ekta Jain is not just an artist; she is a phenomenon, a marvel, and a true testament to the boundless capabilities of human creativity. With a remarkable educational background, holding an M.Sc in Botany, Ekta is no stranger to the intricate beauty of the natural world. Yet, her talents extend far beyond the realm of science.

Ekta Jain is a true ambidextrous artist, a rare gem who has etched her name in the annals of art history. In 2018, she made waves by achieving a remarkable feat, earning her a place in the prestigious India Book of Records. Ekta accomplished the extraordinary by simultaneously creating two distinct sketches, using both hands with finesse and precision. Her unique abilities encompass not only dual-handed sketching but also writing and drawing separately with both hands at the same time, writing different words in two languages with equal dexterity, and executing mesmerizing mirror image writing. To this day, there remains no evidence of anyone else achieving such mastery in simultaneous dual-handed artistry.

With an illustrious career spanning over two decades, Ekta Jain has become a true luminary in the world of art. Her expertise knows no bounds, encompassing a wide array of paintings and handicrafts. She has been a prominent figure in the artistic community of Bhopal, consistently pushing the boundaries of her creativity.

Her artistic journey has led her to various national and international platforms, with her paintings gracing prestigious exhibitions, including the World Art Dubai Festival, Delhi Film Festival, Khajuraho Dance Festival, Kalidas Samaroh, Ujjain, and Art Festival Bangalore. Her primary focus is on traditional miniature collage painting on handmade canvas, using natural pigments, with her works displayed in numerous government and non-government institutions.

Notably, Ekta has also left an indelible mark on the landscape of Bhopal with her magnificent wall-sized oil painting murals adorning the Jain Temple and Guna Jain Temple. Her artistic prowess extends to various handicraft forms, such as Meenakari, Marble Miniature, Resin Art, and Mix Media Art. Her work has earned recognition and registration with the Handicraft Handloom Corporation of India.

Beyond her artistic accomplishments, Ekta's generous spirit shines through her commitment to social work. She has been invited by numerous NGOs and regional social welfare organizations to provide free art training to economically underprivileged children and women. Her dedication to uplifting her community is truly commendable.

In recognition of her extraordinary talent and her invaluable contributions to society, Ekta Jain has received several prestigious awards, including the Sushma Swaraj Award, the Yuva Mahila Chitrakaar Sammaan, and the Dabang Daaminee Sammaan. These accolades only scratch the surface of the remarkable journey of Ekta Jain, the botanist turned ambidextrous art virtuoso, whose life's work continues to inspire, amaze, and uplift all who are fortunate to witness it.
