One of the most significant critics of Kannada Literature in the 20th Century. Giraddi with the help of two of his friends launched a bimonthly little magazine Sankramana from Dharwad in 1963. Giraddi disassociated from the magazine after ten years but by then his reputation as a literary critic was firmly established.
